On the Pappadeux seafood platter, can the seafood be blackened or fried or can it only be fried? And what's the price on it please?
The description calls for two "fried" tilapia or catfish fillets, however, you CAN request them blackened. Menu price is $30.95

Pappadeaux and "Pappa' anything in Texas are ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL! While all my family in Houston is now gone, my wife and I still love to visit. A large part of the reason we go there is to enjoy Pappadeaux and half our talk before a trip is about going there, how many times we'll get to go, and what we'll have. If you need any more convincing - we live 400 miles away.

Such a beautiful restaurant. This was a highly recommended spot from my friends. First time in Houston and we were right in downtown. Excellent service and great food!

Stopped in for a quick salad. It wasn't crowded,so the atmosphere was nice. Kayla was my server. She was nice,but not quite as attentive as she possibly could've been. No suggestive sale,and another server got to me before she came back. Not complaining, just little coaching Opportunities. I've eaten at Pappadeaux all of my life,and I will continue to do so...

Good place to eat. Compares nicely to other locations, looks busy but not too crowded and food is nice and served really fast. Good service all day long. Always eat there during conferences, it’s at the bottom floor of the conference center so very practical.

The food at this place is delicious! I am not a fan of fish but I am trying to eat healthier so I thought I'd try the Red Fish and Butternut Squash Risotto. It was absolutely fresh, enjoyable, and very flavorful. The service was perfect as well. The dinner salad was excellent with a lot of veggies, egg, and fresh applewood bacon. I ended up going back 3 times for lunch and simply had the dinner salad or rice and red beans. Each time the service and food were just as perfect!! Definitely a place to eat when in Texas.

My favorite seafood restaurant by far. Everything on the menu is incredible. The restaurant is a little pricey but worth every penny. The food is incredible and despite always being busy the service is always extremely fast and very friendly. This is a growing chain primarily found in Texas.but hopefully it will be expand Nationwide.

The appetizer calamari comes in big portion. It is deep fried and it taste good. There is not a huge selection of beer but you should find something you like. They serve the beer in a frozen mug. Which is a plus. I had the Halibut and octopus. The oxtupus is tender and tasty. The Halibut is fresh. The wait staff is professional. Food service is fast. It's an open floor plan restaurant so it is not a quiet place. I like the environment.

This restaurant was really awesome. The food was incredible, the staff was great and the atmosphere was perfect for while we were looking for. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool place to eat in this area.

A nice family friendly place with great food and excellent service. The appetizers were really good. I’m not big into “fishy” fish, but I was pleasantly surprised how flavorful everything was. I wasn’t even aware I ate oysters in the Seafood and Sausage Gumbo! The pineapple mule was also delicious; not to sweet and very refreshing! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because my daughter complained that her corn dog bites were “too greasy.”

I didn't intend to eat at Pappadeaux while I was staying downtown at the Hilton, but it happened anyway. Overall, I would say that the food is good, not great, and then prices are too high for a cheap guy like me, however the portions were perfect, the kids meals were very affordable, but the service stole the show and may even make it worth going back next time. I got off kind of cheap with a salad and gumbo, which was all good, but not the best thing I've ever had.

Our large group visited for dinner and our waiter, Jonathan, was amazing, charismatic, and tended to all of our demands... which we had a lot of demands. The food was great and I was not expecting such large portion sizes... I'm certainly not complaining about the giant slice of praline cheesecake ;) I would definitely come back the next time I am in the area.

We ate lunch here while visiting Downtown Houston for a game at the Toyota Stadium. I really enjoyed the location which was walking distance from our hotel. The food was really good and the service was great.

They got the lobster bisque just perfect. Mine had a healthy portion of crab meat and not too fishy base. They offer a cup and bowl options. What you see in a photo is a cup, which was plenty for a meal. Side house salad topped off a perfect lunch combo — excellent service from a cheerful waitress. My only reason for removing one stat is that tables were way to close to each other giving very little privacy for any kind of business conversation.

Always top tier. Right next to the Hilton America's Hotel. Great spot for some fresh seafood before heading to Minute Maid for a Stros game or Toyota Center to see the Rockets. Menu is definitely pricey, but I have never ever had a disappointing meal at Pappadeaux. They do it right.
